Personal Goals and Musical Experience

Personal Goals
I want to learn to confidently play multiple instruments, mainly the piano, and learn how to compose detailed, arranged songs in different songs.
I will fulfil these goals by listening and analysing music to determine the characteristics and structure of each genre and sub-genre, so that when i listen to a song i instantly know what style of music it is, and during what time period it was written. I will listen to multiple genres of music, and regularly practice to ensure my playing is polished.
I would also want to go and see more live performances of bands i enjoy and look at the skills of other musicians, as it will help me to become a much better musician myself and become more confident with my instrumental skills.
Musical Experience
I have been taking drum lessons for the past 3 years, i believe those lessons alone have given me a very good sense of rhythm, and gotten me very interested in different types of music. I listen to music everyday, and i am a huge fan of hard rock and metal, some of my favorite bands include: The White Stripes, AC/DC and Nirvana, they have awesome, memorable, energetic memories that always stick with me, and have inspired me greatly.
